Faberge x 007 Unveils Capsule Collection Featuring Octopussy Photo by Fabergé

The James Bond legacy lives on as Russian luxury jewellery label Fabergé has revealed its newest collection that celebrates the 007 James Bond archive, featuring a remake of the egg objet from the 1983 film “Octopussy.”

The collection follows Fabergé and 007’s partnership announcement back in 2022, making it the first release of the collaboration.

The two pieces unveiled under the first release are the Fabergé x 007 Limited Edition Octopussy Egg Objet and the Fabergé x 007 Special Edition Octopussy Egg Surprise Locket. These pieces are designed by the brand’s head of design, Liisa Tallgren, adorned with the finest craftsmanship from skilled artisans at the brand’s workshop in Germany.

According to Fabergé, each Octopussy Egg Objet was handcrafted through spinning, dye stamping, casting, goldsmithing, guilloché engraving, enameling, setting, and polishing, which took about six months to complete. It is also limited to only 50 pieces.

Meanwhile, the Octopussy Egg Surprise Locket follows the design of the Fabergé egg featured in the film, featuring an 18k gold lattice framework and a geometric guilloché-engraved pattern on its surface. The locket also opens to reveal a miniature 18k gold octopus, adorned with eyes made of black diamond.

The Fabergé x 007 collection is available at Fabergé’s boutiques in Dubai and Macau, and online via Fabergé and 007’s websites.

Buccellati, Urquiola Unveil Tahiti Baskets at Milan Design Week
Tahiti Collection 2 1

In a glamorous unveiling at Milan Design Week 2024, Buccellati introduced its latest creation, the Tahiti Picnic Baskets, in collaboration with iconic designer Patricia Urquiola. This event marked the opening of Buccellati's new silver boutique nestled in the historic Palazzo Gavazzi at Via Montenapoleone 23.

Originating in the 1960s, Buccellati's Tahiti collection marries the artisanal finesse of silver with the rustic charm of bamboo, drawing inspiration from the picturesque Polynesian islands. This addition breathes new life into the collection, redefining the art of dining al fresco with a blend of tradition and modernity.

The inception of the Tahiti Picnic Baskets traces back to the 2022 Milan Design Week, where Urquiola's exhibit "Galateo, A Journey into Conviviality" sparked the idea. This ongoing partnership flourished, culminating in a series of baskets that harmoniously blend Buccellati’s heritage with Urquiola’s innovative design ethos.

Andrea Buccellati, the Maison's Creative Director, celebrated this fusion, noting, "Patricia has woven a fresh layer of contemporary allure into our time-honored Tahiti line, making each piece not just a container, but a story of elegance and ease."

Artisans at Buccellati have crafted these baskets with meticulous attention to detail. They feature an intricate leather exterior in subtle earth tones and an interior of polished wood lined with plush suede. The accompanying silverware and porcelain pieces, crafted in partnership with Ginori 1975, echo the luxurious and refined aesthetic that Buccellati is renowned for. The collection includes diverse sets tailored for various occasions—from a comprehensive four-person picnic ensemble to exclusive setups for coffee, tea, and Champagne, ensuring every outdoor gathering is infused with sophistication and style.

Dior J’adore Now Comes in Shower Gel, Body Milk, and Hand Crème Versions

Perhaps one of the most recognisable scents out there is Dior’s J’adore. Enveloped in its iconic spherical bottle, and endorsed by the likes of Charlize Theron, J’adore has tantalised millions with its feminine fragrance. Dominated by notes of jasmine, tuberose, and lily-of-the-valley, this perfume is the maison’s bestseller and has been so for over twenty years. Since then, they’ve introduced a new line: Les Adorables, which banks on the scent’s cult following.

In previous iterations, Les Adorables has unveiled body care creations that include a scrub, body cream, and body gel. Now this 2024, Dior Beauty has added three more members to this growing family: a shower gel, body milk, and hand crème. The trio is representative of a self-care routine that indulges the skin, gently cleansing and hydrating the entire body.

The olfactory bouquet that we’ve grown so familiar with in J’adore translates itself first into a shower gel made with jasmine extract. It covers the body in a light lather that leaves the skin silky and scented. Follow this up with the hydrating body milk that enhances the skin using a formula that is of 92% natural origin. Enriched with jasmine wax, the texture is smooth and creamy, and absorbs easily onto the skin.

Cap off your skincare routine with the Les Adorables hand crème, a cream made especially for hands, nails, and decolletage. Composed of 97% natural origin ingredients, the formula is infused with both jasmine wax and cotton nectar, giving the cream a nourishing and hydrating ability. Further enhanced by the floral scents of J’adore, each piece in the Les Adorables collection is as exciting to feel as it is to see.

Each formulation is showcased in sophisticated and feminine cases that are a nod to the spherical design of the J’adore perfume. The shower gel, body milk, and hand crème are presented in three white cases accentuated by the gold that J’adore is so famous for. Purposely encased in portable and versatile cases, each product can easily be applied or carried anywhere its wearer chooses to journey, making the Les Adorables collection the perfect accessory for the sophisticated traveller, or the on-the-go woman.

This Quirky New Bag by MSCHF Is Dior, Balenciaga, Celine, & Hermès in One
MSCHF Combines Dior Balenciaga Celine Hermes in One Bag Photo by Website/MSCHF

Following its microscopic Louis Vuitton bag, American art collective MSCHF is back at it with another quirky and quite questionable creation that will make every fashionista’s head turn!

Named the Global Supply Chain Telephone Handbag (GSCTH), the soon-to-launch bag is a hybrid piece that combines the designs of “It” bags from luxury brands Dior, Balenciaga, Celine, and Hermès. It also celebrates the “hidden creative labor” in luxury brand factories, said MSCHF.

According to its website, the leather-made “Telephone” bag was first made in a Peruvian factory, using a knockoff Birkin bag by Hermès as its initial prototype. Then, a factory in Portugal incorporated Celine’s front zipped pocket and swirl accent into the design.

The bag was then transformed with a slanted top design in an Indian factory, inspired by Dior’s Saddle Pouch. Finally, the bag reached its final look in a factory in China, incorporating Balenciaga’s Hourglass handbag’s curvilinear base into the output.

The “Telephone” handbag will officially hit the shelves on Feb. 21. It comes in various colours, including black, pink, blue, and orange.
