Universal Studios Singapore to Add New Attraction Called Minion Land
The Universal Studios Singapore will open a new attraction called the Minion Land featuring Illumination’s famous Minions from the “Despicable Me” franchise. The construction of the new themed zone will start in the second quarter of 2022. It will be located at Resort’s World Sentosa (RWS) to “reinvigorate Singapore's tourism and welcome back international visitors".
Visitors of the Minion Land can enjoy exclusive rides including the motion-simulator 3D ride called Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. Souvenir shops and themed restaurants will also be present at the new Minion Land.
Apart from its new Minion attraction, RWS is set to revamp its three hotels - Hard Rock Hotel Singapore, Hotel Michael, and Festive Hotel. The renovation will commence in the second quarter of 2022 until 2023.
